Why am I cycling across Europe?
I was diagnosed with acute leukaemia in 2004, when my children Julianne and Phil were 11 and 9 years old. I was saved by science, the discoveries that resulted from many years of medical research, and the skill and care of my doctors and others. I am forever grateful for the second life I have been given, and for these portraits of survival:

I cycle to celebrate life, and to raise money for our Research Chair, in the hope that with continuing discoveries others will also have portraits of survival.
